      rcd trips when fan in oven is about to start

      Creda Hotpoint electric oven. Almost every time we use our oven the RCD for the cooker trips as the fan is about to start. This has happened for at least 6 months now. Element used is 2500w as above bought Dec 2010. Any asiistance on how to resolve this very welcome. thanks.

      • If this has only been the case since you replaced the element are you sure that the wires have gone back in the correct place and are not touching the retaining screw or someother metal part of the cooker. By Countryman - East Sussex - 22 November 2011
