What is the resistance of the coil.
I think that the coil has gone open cct as i can get no reading at all.

- Ahem Resistance is measured in Ohms not watts. Conversion here http://www.sengpielaudio.com/calculator-ohm.htm comes out as 48 ohms. if you are getting no readings, the element is "open curcuit" AKA knackered. Rich
