is play between the bearing housing and plastic outer tub normal
I fitted new bearings less than two years ago ,and noticed recently a lot of vertical play on the inner tub.a heater fault code also came on the display.after taking it apart the heater element has a slot ground into it .I have new spares to fit but thought it a bit odd that much play in new bearings ,as the other ones lasted 17 years and were rusted rather than worn with only slight play .so I have now noticed the movement is between the tub and bearing housing ,it looks like new bearings wont cure this,so stopped the job ,just about to remove the inner bearing .does this need a new tub outer or is the bearing housing replacable if this is the problem
