Refrigerator Evaporator Cover Support Assembly

This kit is to stop an ice ball building at the top of the evaporator and ice coming out at the top of the evaporator cover.

It comes with a additional note for improving the auto defrost cycle to reduce or totally remove this problem.

Fitting instructions:

  • To fit this kit when the lower cover is removed fit the two parts with the holes in over the two top screw pillars of the cover to prevent air escaping the top corner.
  • Remove the existing evaporator sensor from the top of the evaporator radiator and clip the new sensor to the pipe on the top left that connects to the radiator.
  • Use the 'draft excluder' to replace any damaged area of excluder around the cover.
  • Carefully refit the cover and follow the enclosed note to change the 'defrost option timing' to improve its performance.

I have just purchased a new sensor on it's own from yourselves and it arrived a couple of days ago. I haven't opened the packet, but it is the same length as the one currently on my fridge/freezer unit. I need to put this kit onto mine and obviously I want to make sure the sensor in this kit is long enough to reach. Also, can I return the unopened sensor for a refund and order the new complete kit if the sensor is long enough?

The sensor supplied in the kit is long enough for its new position.
