Refrigerator section is freezing & compressor is running continuously

By Brian Westgarth - WALLSEND - 16 May 2018
  • No there is only a small PCB in the light compartment. The sensor has to be located by cutting the rear insulation below and to the side of the main PCB at the back. There is a good video on U Tube By Paul Gregson - Newark - 11 December 2018

Check the rear wall spacers are fitted as they need to be 5.5cm min according to Beko, also check if the accumulator in the freezer is icing completely. Test the thermostat & connections before suspecting anything else.

Top half of the fridge compartment forms a frost layer and will not defrost. Salad items and dairy freeze solid. What is wrong and how do I fix it.

Answer this question

I have replaced the thermostat and the PCB and the unit is at least 10cm away from the wall. The unit was transported on its side in a car carefully, and stood over a weekend before switching on. It has not worked since.

If the appliance has not been transported on the correct side there is a potential to get oil in the system, check the accumulator in the freezer is icing and check the thermostat connections before suspecting anything else.
