Washing Machine Door Interlock

eSpares has this replacement interlock, that could soon be fitted to your washing machine. The door interlock is an electronic device that gives a 2 minute time delay once the wash/dry cycle has been completed - before you can then open the door. This will assist in preventing leaks.

On my machine there are no screws to hold on the door lock. Does it clip in, I can't see a way to take it off. Thanks

On this type of machine, you would need to release the lock through the door seal, it would come out at an angle as it is clipped in.

It is unlikely to be the door lock causing it to blow, have a look at our advice centre www.espares.co.uk/advice/symptom/washing-machine-blowing-fuses just copy and paste into your browser.

There was an issue of the motor on spin causing blowing fuses on some models. Select the high spin speed and retry, if the fuse blows again it may need a motor and PCB. Due to the high cost of replacing these items it is likely to be cheaper to have a 'fix price' repair from Repaircare.
