Washing Machine Door Lock
Door locks need to be checked on a regular basis to ensure they work correctly. If the door is not locked correctly during the wash cycle, it could lead to water leaks from the machine. The door interlock is an electronic device that provides a time delay of approximately 2 minutes, once the wash/dry cycle has been completed before the washing machine door can be opened.
If your washing machine will not start, yet the relevant lights appear to be lit on the fascia panel, it could be because the door interlock has failed. If the door closes, and the wash/dry cycle is selected but still no joy - it may well be time for a new interlock.

Got code dC1 and door latched locked no matter what (system drained, on/off, etc.). Released it using the pull tab below the switch and unloaded the machine. Started afresh, but this time the machine will not srart with a dC error. I anticipate the lock is faulty...

Hi Lewis, both dC1 and dC both refer to the door lock so it would possible the door lock is faulty
