- This seal goes between the prefilter (the easy to remove foam disc) and the motor housing. Remove the pre filter and housing, look inside the vac where you removed the pre filter and housing and you should see this rubber seal part.

Hi Tabeth, HEPA seal is for the HEPA filter, and this seal is for the other filter in the vacuum.
