The button should simply pull off the switch. You could try an adhesive tape or carefully prise off the switch using a small bladed screwdriver.
the buttons on our microwave do not click therefore do not select the programme -is it the button holder at fault 1 Answer

It Is unlikely. The problem may be the touch pad or the door interlock. We are sorry but do not advise on repairs in this area as this is very close to the high voltage connections to the magnetron and accidental contact can easily prove fatal.
