My indesit front loader xwe 91483 is dirty but I cannot see a crack in door seal. A piece of cardboard under front of machine indicates a small leak in middle front. Could it be the door seal? 1 Answer
xwe 91483 is displayed on front of machine. It was bought in Tenerife Spain.

It is likely to be the door seal, check for a hole in the seal.
Hi, My Hotpoint WT540 is making a noise on fast spin. It does not do it at any other time leading me to suspect that its not the bearings. After some examination I suspect the drum to be rubbing against part of the door seal. After looking at your excellent youtube video on how to change it I reckon thats easy enough. However is that the probable culprit? And you give me the options of three WT540s, My machine simply says WT540 on it, no suffix?? Thanks in anticipation : )

Check for play by lifting the inner edge and see if the gap changes as this may indicate worn bearings or a failed drum spider. If the inner drum is not buckled and the rim gap remains even as you turn the drum. If slightly out at one point use a piece of wood and a hammer to carefully knock true.
New seal for washing machine but requires a thew slams to get door to lock is this normal and will it get better with time it is the correct part 1 Answer

A new door seal is naturally going to be a tighter fit and will mould to the gap as it is repeatedly heated during washing. If the seal fitted the machine and does not leak then it is going to be the correct seal. You could compare with a machine in a showroom as they too are likely to be difficult to close at first.
My machine is a WF220. The machine range quotes a letter after the 220. Do you have a rubber that will fit this machine ?

The suffix letter 'G' refers to the cabinet colour Graphite or grey and this seal will fit your machine.
