If the water is not draining you may have a blocked pump. For information to diagnose your problem see our video: How to Diagnose Draining and Motor Problems in a dishwasher http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/3/1889/how-to-diagnose-draining-and-motor-problems-in-a-dishwasher
My Baumatic BDW13 dishwasher will get about half to three quarters of the way through a selected program (economy cycle) and it will beep once every minute, then stop, when you open the door there will be water in the bottom and the power and selected cycle light will be out, with no fault code. The only way to get power back on is to switch off at the wall, wait 15/30mins and power resumes, any help would be much appreciated, thanks Dave Shephard

This machine has a standard heating element and this thermostat is mounted directly to the skin of the base to detect the base surface temperature, It is important to have 'metal to metal' contact and therefore cannot be glued in place. If you cannot find a way of attaching this to the base skin allowing it to monitor the temperature correctly we would advise not to use it as it could be dangerous and possibly lead to a fire.

No, this is a simple thermal switch as does not require wires connecting in one direction.
The dishwasher trips the main fusebox. Have noticed the element has been catching on the bottom basket and was pulled out of place. Have put it back into its clips, but it's still not heating the water and the machine is still tripping the fusebox. Thanks, Jon. Baumatic BDW13.

There is a good chance that the element has failed. disconnect and insulate the connectors, then retry. If the machine starts and washes move the timer to a new programme to force it to empty and replace the element.

Check for continuity on the cut out and the heater element. The element is the most likely problem.
The water in the dishwasher doesn't get hot and doesn't dry the items. I have replaced the heater element but it has made no difference. Where abouts in the dishwaher is the thermal cut out? My dishwasher is "built in" how do I get to the cut out to replace it?
- IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THE MACHINE IS UNPLUGGED!ON THE BOTTOM OF THE MACHINE AT THE FRONT THER ARE 2 BLACK INSPECTION PANELS (PROBABLY COVERED BY THE CUPBOARD FLOOR PLYNTH)REMOVE RH COVER PRISE IT OUT WITH A SCREW DRIVER.LOOK TO THE REAR OF THE MACHINE AND YOU CAN SEE THE SWITCH SCREWED IN TO THE PANEL ABOVE (LOOK AT PICTURE OF THE SWITCH SO YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR)REMOVE THE 2 WIRES,JUST PULL OFF,UNSCREW SWITCH WITH FINGERS, NO NEED FOR A SPANNER THEN REPLACE THE SAME WAY.IT IS QUITE A TIGHT GAP TO GET INTO,BE CAREFULL NOT TO CUT YOURSELF AND TAKE CARE NOT TO KNOCK OFF ANY OTHER WIRES.I REPLACED MINE WITHOUT DISTURBING THE MACHINE POSITION AT ALL IN ABOUT 10MINS
Will this part fit my appliance?
