  • Do not use this with a septic tank. It is sufficient to kill germs in the pipe and is twice the lethal quantity for the microbes in the tank., which will seriously degrade decomposition in the tank.   • I'd be very very wary of using with a septic tank. It very caustic sodium hydroxide and (like bleach) I think will kill off the bacteria working in your tank.
