Take the fan blade off and turn the fan motor shaft to test the movement, it should be free to turn and if not it is likely the bearings inside are causing it too run slow.

It is likely to be the fan bearing causing it to run slow so test the fan.
Moved house and inherited this cooker. Any ideas of what to check

Fan turns slowly and sometimes stops the element has just tripped fuse and now does not heat up. It's a indesit ID60C2 S do you think it's a fan problem or element. Thanks

The fan is failing and may now have damaged the element so both may be needed.

Hotpoint ew81p trips out the power when main oven is turned on after a few mins I think it's the fan motor thanks

The problem is likely to be the element not the fan and if choosing a compatible part you must confirm it matches the dimensions of your part.
Do I need to take the cooker (Hotpoint DY46X)out of its housing to fit a new fan motor. Thanks 1 Answer
- Not sure of your model, but on my Creda I had to remove the oven, 4 screws thats all that was holding it into the housing
