How to Replace the Fridge Door on a Beko Fridge Freezer

When buying a new fridge door, you'll first need to know your fridge's model number to make sure you buy the correct part. Your fridge freezer will have a model number consisting of letters and numbers, and it could also include characters such as a dash (-) or a slash (/). This number can usually be found on a panel or sticker inside the fridge behind the salad drawers, on the interior wall or on the sides or back of the appliance. Now remember, safety first! Always make sure your appliance has been switched off and unplugged from the mains before carrying out any work or repairs.

First, open the fridge door to access the top hinge. Insert the small flathead screwdriver into the middle of the left-hand side of the hinge cover. You can then prise the hinge cover open and pull it off the hinge.

Then remove the two door hinge screws using either a standard flathead screwdriver or a Torx 25 screwdriver. Make sure you keep the fridge door supported whilst you're doing this, so that the fridge door doesn't fall down once the screws have been removed.

With the screws removed, angle the fridge door outwards so that you have the hinge clear of the cabinet. Then, keeping the fridge door supported, lift off the hinge and place it aside.

Once the top hinge is fully removed from the fridge door, you can lift the door off the centre hinge and place it out of the way.

Before fitting the new door, make sure you have the hinge and hinge screws within easy reach. To start fitting the new door, line up the hole at the bottom with the centre hinge pin and slot the door into place. Remember to keep the door supported at this point, as it will not yet be secure.

With the fridge door supported, slot the hinge back into place and refit the two screws using either a standard flathead screwdriver or a Torx 25.

To finish, slide the hinge cover back over the hinge and clip it into place.
