The buzzing noise does not normally affect the working on the oven but the only way to stop the noise is to replace the timer.
I have purchased a replacement item from eSpares but need to know how to get the old one out and the new one fitted

We are sorry but do not have a video of this repair as yet, However check out our video: http://www.espares.co.uk/advice/1/1428/how-to-replace-an-oven-thermostat-in-an-elect as this shows removal of the case for access to the timer. Once you can access the timer remove the bracket that it is fitted on and squeeze the clips that hold the timer in the bracket and slide the timer out whilst still attached to the connections. transfer the connections to the new timer and slide back into the bracket before reassembling the oven.
cannot find any help on oven timers.no how to videos can anybody out there help please

You haven't given any model number but this information but the following should give a guide. Remove the oven from its housing and disconnect the supply after switching off. Remove the rear control cover (and cabinet top if required). The timer is likely to be fitted in a short bracket fixed to the front panel with typicaly four screw. Once released photo the connections and push the retaining 'lugs' in to allow the timer to push out of the bracket. Now transfer each wire from the old timer to the new (note: some connectors have small catches that need to be depressed before releasing). Refit the new timer into the bracket and then the facia. Refit screws and covers before reconnecting and installing into the housing. Set clock to turn off automatic function or oven may not start.
