Tumble Dryer Thermostat Kit Stock Number: ES487865
Genuine spare part for select Ariston, Creda, Crusader, Electra, Hotpoint, Indesit, Jackson and Proline tumble dryers
I checked both thermostats for continuity..all ok...the heater element had a damaged plate..so fitted a new heater... vacuumed out all dust and fluff...Still not heating..Any suggestions please?

Have cleaned out Condenser and removed fluff from front filters. Any ideas?

Check the container seal and fitting for damage and blockage in the connector to the container from the machine.

Stock Number: ES1020444 is likely to be the same kit but not supplied through Creda/Hotpoint but from the thermostat manufacturer direct.
My tumble drier doesn't seem to be doing the reverse action to stop clothes getting tangled. What is wrong here?

If the motor is slow to start it may be the motor capacitor passing not enough power. if the machine never pauses but only tumbles one way it is likely to be the reversing timer or timer depending on model.

We recommend that both are changed together as this will prevent two of the same type accidently being fitted. The one with the spot we believe is the overheat cut out so will have the higher operating temperature. The other without the spot will be the lower temperature cycling thermostat.
Old thermostats in my Creda are KSD 301 with numbers 105 and 130. They have no colour code dots. The new thermostats in my order received two days ago are marked YELLOW 1488 23-13, and GREEN 1582 23-13. Which of the two new thermostats should replace which of the old ones please ?

One thermostat is a overheat cut out that will trip and need to be replaced if it overheats and a cycling thermostat that cuts in and out as it reaches and maintains the drying temperature. If you replace both thermostats at the same time you will use one of each type This will ensure your appliance is working correctly and safely.
I have received two new thermostats for my Hotpoint drier but not sure they are identical or need to be fitted in a certain order. If so what? 1 Answer

These parts should replaced for the same type, one has a coloured 'spot' between the terminals and must be replaced with one with a spot on.
Dryer runs for 10 -15 mins then trips main circuit breaker and not the washer/dryer circuit breaker. Circuit breaker will not reset. Can leave it for a while and it will run again for a few mins. Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

If your drier is a condenser drier it is likely water is getting onto the heater element causing an earth leakage current and tripping the RCD on the fuse board. Check the condenser water is draining corectlly and not blocked by fluff.
